Parenting is a full-time job, and many parents have full-time jobs on top of parenting. Whether you work from home or out of an office or store, work likely keeps you busy but parenting likely keeps you busier. For moms that like fashion and beauty it may seem counterproductive to put that much into looking good, especially if you work from home.
Just because you spend most of your time at home, or you are busy most of your day chasing kids around, doesn’t mean you have to skip your makeup and beauty routine. If you like to wear makeup or do your hair you shouldn’t let motherhood get in the way. Here are a few tips for making time for beauty even when you’re a busy mom and business person.
Review Before You Buy
Take some time to review new beauty products before you spend money on them. With children and bills you really want to be more particular about the things that you are spending money on, but by reading reviews and watching tutorials so you are only getting the best products, and the ones that you need, you can save time and money.
You can find buyer’s guides and reviews online, both in article form and in video form. Articles can be read when you have a break, or even when you’re lying in bed at night. Watch videos on your phone or tablet while cooking or simply when you have time to relax.
Do Makeup Even When You Don’t Need To
You do not have to have plans to leave the house just to do your makeup, and you don’t even need to do it for someone else. Simply do your makeup because you want to, because you like to. Take some selfies and have some fun with it. A woman should never feel like she “has” to wear makeup, but you should also feel like you can wear it whenever you want, for whatever reason you want.
If you really enjoy makeup and have some time out of the house and away from the kids you might want to consider getting a makeover. It can be fun to try a new look and get some pampering!
Blog About It
Turn your love of beauty into a hobby that can help you share your experiences with other moms. It doesn’t take a lot of time to post on a blog a few times a week. You also might find that your beauty blog can be an asset and might get you some free beauty products to try out.
Use your blog to not only write reviews and tutorials, but share with other moms how you find time to do your beauty routine, and maybe even where you find the best deals. People love beauty blogs, mommy blogs, and deal blogs, so why not make your foray into the blogging world one that covers them all when it comes to beauty products?
