The beauty market is one of the most saturated markets out there. If you’re looking for a solution to your dry skin, or you’re unhappy with the fact that you have brown eyes instead of blue eyes, the beauty market tells you that they have the solution to all that ails you.
You can try a slew of products, a never ending line of things that are essentially exactly the same, yet the brands try and convince you why they’re the absolute best. The harsh reality of the matter is that these products are often inundated with extremely harsh chemicals that are no good for you. Sometimes they even end up creating more damage than good in the long run.
If you’re like every other human being in the modern world, you probably have hundreds of beauty products stuffed in cupboards all over your house that all promise the same thing: a more beautiful you. Have you ever thought about the fact that beauty has been misdefined?

One of the best quotes out there is from the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. In the movie, Walter Mitty goes on this adventure to do what he thinks will help him keep his job. His travels lead him to hunt down an extreme photographer whom he finds in the mountains of Iraq. The photographer says to Walter Mitty, “Beautiful things don’t ask for attention”.
Isn’t that the opposite of what the beauty world preaches? The beauty industry says “You’re not good enough, you need our product to make yourself stand out”. You don’t need a million products because beauty is simple and that which is truly beautiful is the thing that doesn’t ask to be validated.
Nature is the Best Healthcare
It’s valid that you do need some products in life. This isn’t a ploy to make you stop wearing mascara stop using hair product. The point is that you can use the things nature gives you and it’s the best product you’re going to find.
If you want healthy skin, follow the basics. Solve the problem from within and don’t just mask it with more products that won’t truly help the root cause. The same can be said for issues like weight loss or weight gain. When you take care of yourself on the most fundamental level, that is making sure that your diet is in line and you’re drink water and getting vitamins, the rest falls into place.
Use products that nature gives you in everything. Stick to the basics. Vinegar, coconut oil, and baking soda are going to help more than entirely man made products.
