Tips For Dry Frizzy Hair

hair care

Having overly dried locks can ruin your entire look regardless of how sharp your outfit is, or how on point your makeup.  You can change your clothes, and you can change your makeup, but you can’t take off your hair at the end of the day!  Give it some tender loving care!

Sending an emergency moisture surge to frizzy lifeless hair doesn’t have to be a treatment that costs hundreds in a salon.  Sometimes all it takes is a trip to the drug store, and sometimes you even have everything you need already at home.

Ensure you have silky smooth hair by following these haircare tips, and never have to throw on a hat of shame again!

Castor Oil

One teaspoon of this stuff will do your skin and hair wonders.  Try mixing a little castor oil in with your normal conditioner as well as a bit of water. Shake well, and apply on washed, towel dried hair.

Apply on the tips of your hair, and using a comb, brush through from top to bottom.  Leave this “mask” on for 1-2 hours for the ultimate silky smooth finish.

While you’re letting your hair soak, apply a bit on your eyebrows and eyelashes.  Castor oil is known for being a hair growth booster.  Add this routine once a week into your life and watch your hair transform!

Straighten your hair

Using a straightening brush or hair straightener is a quick fix to taming any dry frizzy locks.  Make sure that you use a heat protector spray, and a high quality hair tool.

Ensure you don’t dry or damage your hair any further, by using a tool that doesn’t exceed 185 degrees fahrenheit.  After straightening, smooth your hair with a serum or setting lotion.

Take Vitamins

Taking a multivitamin adds essential nutrients back into your hair that get lost from damage.  Try taking a fish oil, or anything biotin based.  Additionally, vitamin C believe it or not does wonders for the hair.

Reach for a fresh squeezed orange juice, and not only are your quenching your thirst with a delicious treat, but you’re doing a great service to your hair!

Coconut Oil

The powers of coconut oil are infinite.  It can be applied either directly towards the hair, or mixed in with your normal conditioner.

It can also replace expensive serums or deep conditioners.  Replace using butter, or cooking oil with coconut oil, which when eaten, does even more good for your hair.

Coconut oil is full of essential oils and fats that send nourishment to your scalp, and all the way to the center of your hair follicles.

Also works great as an under eye moisturizer or cuticle cream!
